Zumba Basics
8 Tuesdays – April 17th to June 19th (no classes May 15th and 22nd) from 6 – 7 pm
Ditch the workout, Join the party! The Zumba program is a Latin-inspired, dance-fitness class that incorporates Latin and international music and dance movements, creating a dynamic, exciting, exhilarating, and effective fitness system. Zumba integrates some of the basic principles of aerobic, interval, and resistance training to maximize caloric output, cardiovascular benefits, and total body toning.
A Zumba class creates a party-like atmosphere that provides a non-intimidating opportunity, for non-dancers, new exercisers, or those who have previously hesitated to participate in a group classes. This class is for new or returning Zumba students. Local resident instructor is Monique LaPointe. Advance registration is required. 8 classes for $64 or $10 drop-in fee (pay instructor).
