Update at 11:35am, Feb. 28th
Hi everyone. The ODR has been repaired and is open again! There are group activites booked on Sunday the 28th from 12-1 and 3-4pm and Monday, March 1st from 7-8pm. Temperatures are forecasted to get above zero starting Tuesday, so we will evaluate opening day by day at that point.
With the assistance of the St Andrews Volunteer Fire Department, our outdoor rink is open again! As long as the weather cooperates, it will be open for everyone at no charge. Thre will be specific times set aside for group activities. We ask that casual users leave the ice during these times:
Feb. 28: 12-1pm and 3-4pm
Mar. 1: 7-8pm
As usual, you skate at your own risk and all social distancing measures must be followed. Helmet usage is strongly advised. St Andrews CC will not be responsible for any fines levied to individuals or groups who are ticketed for not following the current provincial COVID guidelines. Change rooms and washrooms in the club will not be available. Please help us keep the area clean and prevent cups etc… from blowing into the neighbours yards by using the garbage cans provided.
Teams who wish to use the ODR can contact Garry at firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve a time. The weather appears to be warming up drastically by the 22nd or 23rd, so we will only reserve times for that week. Hopefully the temps go back to near normal and extends the amount of time we can keep it open. We will post announcements here and on our Facebook page if the weather renders the ice unusable and we have to close.
The indoor ice is still in. Thank you to the RM council for their financial support during the Covid lockdown. Please contact Garry at the email address above for more information on availability and conditions for use.
Have fun and stay safe everyone!
